A Calm, Cat-Centered Stay While You’re Away

Planning a vacation, work trip, or weekend getaway? Let your cat be our guest at Rialto Cat Hospital.

We know boarding can be stressful — for cats and for the people who leave them. Unfamiliar smells, unfamiliar sounds, the constant background presence of dogs in most boarding facilities… for many cats, traditional boarding isn’t a vacation. It’s an ordeal. So we built ours differently.

Boarding at Rialto Cat Hospital is exclusively feline. No barking. No nervous tail-tucking on the way in. Just a calm, quiet, thoughtfully designed environment where your cat can relax — and where you can travel knowing they’re being cared for by a team that genuinely understands them.

Feline-Exclusive, Veterinary-Supervised

What sets our boarding apart starts with what we don’t have: dogs. Beyond that, every detail is built around what cats actually need to feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed during their stay.

Our boarding amenities include:

  • Veterinary supervision from a team you already trust
  • Window-view boarding condos with natural sunlight and outside views
  • Sunbathing perches for that perfect afternoon stretch
  • Bird-watching opportunities — feline-friendly entertainment at its finest
  • Private litter areas in every accommodation
  • Feliway pheromone diffusers throughout the boarding space to promote calm
  • Classical music to help mask outside sounds and create a soothing atmosphere
  • Climate-controlled spaces — heated and air-conditioned year-round
  • Daily monitoring by our experienced veterinary team
  • Medication administration and special diet support
  • Prompt medical attention if any concerns come up during your cat’s stay
  • Complimentary cuddles (okay, fine, that one’s mostly for us)

Whether your cat is young, social, and loves a window to chirp at — or quiet, reserved, and just appreciates a peaceful corner — our team will get to know your cat’s preferences and tailor their stay accordingly.

Medical Boarding for Cats With Special Needs

Because we’re a veterinary hospital, we’re equipped to provide a level of care that traditional boarding facilities simply can’t match. Our medical boarding is available for cats who need:

  • Daily or scheduled medications
  • Special therapeutic diets
  • Routine medical monitoring
  • Extra support for diabetes, kidney disease, hyperthyroidism, or other ongoing conditions
  • Senior cat care that requires a closer eye

Medical boarding availability depends on your cat’s specific needs, so please give us a call to discuss whether our facility is the right fit.

Wellness Care During Boarding

While it is best to have wellness care completed prior to their stay for optimal protection, boarding stays can also be a convenient time to catch up on routine care. Depending on your cat’s health and our appointment availability, we may be able to take care of:

  • Wellness exams
  • Vaccines
  • Parasite testing
  • Nail trims
  • Medication refills
  • Dental cleanings
  • Other recommended services

We’ll always discuss recommendations with you before moving forward.

Boarding Requirements

To protect every cat in our care, all boarding guests must be current on required vaccines and fecal/internal parasite testing. These requirements reduce the risk of contagious illness and help keep our boarding environment safer for everyone.

Please contact our team before your cat’s stay so we can confirm records, discuss any needed updates, and make check-in smooth.

Things to Know Before You Book

A few practical notes for boarding guests:

  • Drop-off and pick-up windows are between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM, and 3:00 PM and 4:30 PM, so our team can manage feeding, care, and (yes) cuddle time.
  • Bring any medications in their original, clearly labeled containers
  • Bring enough food for the duration of your cat’s stay if they’re on a special diet
  • We provide bedding and bowls, but if you bring items from home, please label them clearly with your cat’s first and last name
  • Bring proof of current vaccinations and fecal testing if your cat receives care at another hospital
  • The office is closed on Sundays and holidays, and drop-off or pick-up is unavailable on those days

Got a Canine Sibling at Home?

If your cat boards with us while a dog in the family needs care of their own, our sister hospital, Rialto Animal Hospital (located just across the parking lot), offers boarding for dogs. One trip, two happy pets, two perfectly suited environments.
