AAHA Proud

AAHA is an animal health organization with a simple mission: to accredit veterinary practices who demonstrate excellence in everything they do. Fewer than 15% of animal hospitals are AAHA accredited. We are proud to be one of the few.

How it works Veterinary practices must apply for AAHA accreditation. This process involves inspection and examination on approximately 900 standards of healthcare delivery; from anesthesia protocols to staff training and everything in between. Furthermore, veterinary practices must undergo routine re-examination and inspection to keep accreditation. The standards are high, but the stakes are higher... because when it comes to the health of the cat you love, you should never have to settle for less than the best. A fluffy, long-haired brown and white cat lies on a light-colored floor, looking upward with bright green eyes—perhaps waiting for a visit to the vet. The background is neutral and out of focus. A person with closed eyes gently kisses the head of a gray tabby cat with striking blue eyes, hugging it closely. The cat gazes forward, calm and content—showing the trust often seen between a caring vet and their beloved cat patient. A small, fluffy white kitten with bright blue eyes walks through green grass, its mouth slightly open as if meowing, tail raised high—looking ready for a vet checkup. The background is blurred and vibrant. Close-up of a fluffy, long-haired cat with striking yellow eyes and a pink nose, licking its nose with its tongue curling to the side, looking alert and expressive—perfect for a veterinarian’s office or cat care campaign. A small, gray and white tabby kitten with big, round eyes sits on a glossy surface, looking directly at the camera—ready for its first vet visit. Its ears are upright and its fur appears soft and fluffy. A black and white cat on a wooden bench intently watches a purple feather toy being dangled, with its owner—who just visited the veterinarian—sitting nearby outdoors on a sunny day. A gray tabby kitten lies on a patterned rug, playfully biting an electrical cord with wide eyes and perked-up ears—something any vet would caution against for your cat’s safety. Close-up of a fluffy brown tabby cat lying on its back on a gray surface, looking up at the camera with green eyes and a relaxed expression—perfectly healthy after a recent trip to the veterinarian. Close-up of a grey cat lying upside down on a wooden surface, its golden eyes wide open and looking towards the camera—perfect for any vet or veterinarian showcasing feline charm. A fluffy orange and white cat is lying on a light-colored surface near a window, looking outside with a calm and relaxed expression—clearly the picture of feline health any vet would admire. A fluffy, long-haired cat with a mix of brown, white, and orange fur sits on a tree stump. The scene evokes the cozy warmth any veterinarian or cat lover would adore, set against blurred autumn foliage in yellow and orange tones. The blurred background in green and blue tones highlights the playful feline, perfect for any cat lover or veterinarian-themed setting. A close-up of a person's hand, possibly a veterinarian, gently scratching the chin of a relaxed tabby cat, whose eyes are half-closed and mouth slightly open in contentment. A close-up of a tabby cat peacefully sleeping on a cozy, plaid blanket, with its eyes closed and face relaxed—just the way a vet loves to see their feline patients at home.
